Archbishop Tutu live webcast
Having designed and launched the new website for The Elders, Provokateur has been on hand to manage their first live webcast. Forget the generation gap – Archbishop Tutu was unphased by Twitter and the Q&A live broadcast went out without a hitch.
Live webcasts might sound simple enough, but some serious thought, planning and tech geekery helped orchestrate the Elders’ first foray into using social media and live chatting. Provokateur was proud to have helped them take their first steps.
This is the kind of stuff where the internet really shines. Visitors to the Elders’ website were invited to submit questions to Archbishop Tutu prior to the live cast and even during the Q&A session he was receiving, and answering, questions via Twitter.
For the Elders this was an exciting new way to engage with a worldwide audience through their website, creating a genuine dialogue with people across the world. Expect more such events to follow…
